An event to commemorate Armed Forces Day, a national celebration of the UK’s Armed Forces – past, present and future – will be held at Carlisle United Football Club. A host of organisations paying tribute to our armed forces include: The Cumbria Museum of Military Life, Cumbria Army Cadet Force, Carlisle United Community Sports Trust, Army Careers, The Royal British Legion, SSAFA, Cumbria Fire & Rescue, Cumbria Police, NHS, Devils Porridge Museum, Solway Aviation Museum, RAF Spadeadam,plus many more. The event will be attended by local dignitaries ,the Border Concert Band will be performing live throughout the day along with live singing from the Not Forgotten Society. Information stalls supporting Armed Forces – Army Career guys and take on the ‘Hang Tough Challenge’ Face Painting, Bouncy Castle and children’s activities Military Vehicles Dancing and singing via Razzmatazz and Norman Street School
