Facilities

Music In Ulpha

Music In Ulpha promotes live music (principally folk, acoustic, blues and roots). We present top artists and many people can’t believe how we manage to attract such prestigious acts. We run our own bar with local real ales and quality wines, and provide a comfortable “cabaret style” setup. The concerts provide the local community and surrounding areas with an opportunity, at regular intervals, to get together in a much more “up close and personal” way than a large concert scenario.

Local Area

The sleepy coastal town of Millom in Cumbria was once an 18th century industrial town, thriving on the iron ore mined from nearby Hodbarrow. These days the mine has been transformed into RSPB Hodbarrow Nature Reserve and the town of Millom is less industrious but no less welcoming. Situated on the southwest coast of Cumbria on the edge of the Lake District National Park, the town overlooks the Duddon Estuary and has easy access to several picturesque beaches. This area sees less visitors than other Lake District hotspots, making Millom a wonderful place to stay for those looking for peace and quiet near the sea whilst still being close to many of the attractions of the Western Lakes.
