Ravenglass is the only village in the Lake District National Park that meets the sea. It sits within two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Lake District National Park and the Frontiers of the Roman Empire, thanks to its historic Roman bath house, one of the best-preserved in Britain.
Eskdale, a beautiful valley stretching inland from Ravenglass, is known for its dramatic scenery, peaceful countryside, and outdoor adventures. It’s a haven for walkers, with trails leading to Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, as well as gentler riverside and woodland walks.
